The Story

From the moment I first chatted with Sara, I knew hers was going to be a very fashion focused affair. Sara was planning multiple outfits for her Kentucky wedding weekend a classic, fitted dress with a little bling for her main gown and a fun, preppy shortie for her Keeneland rehearsal celebration. I was determined for her to find both with us. This was TOTALLY our look!

 

During her first visit, I knew we had gotten close, but there were still a few boxes to check to find the ONE. Luckily, we had an Anne Barge trunk show happening the next week. She does classic like no other. I arranged to have a few additional gowns sent for the show that I knew would help Sara pick. Lo and behold - the next time, we did it! Two looks, complete with accessories, done and done. 

 

Given Sara’s fashion plans, I just knew I needed to BE there to help her put it all together. She took me up on our Wedding Day Dressing & Detailing pitch, which was SO fun, because once I’m your day of stylist, too, no fashion issue is off the table! We’ll help with ANY of your looks, even if they’re not from us - and we worked through it ALL! So to honor all of Sara’s very meticulous styling work, I brought mannequins for each of her dresses. What a total thrill to see all of them all on mannequins together! A highlight of WD D&D history, that is for sure. 

 

But what I love most of all, is how close we became during her planning. It has been so wonderful to stay in touch even long after the wedding was over. I would definitely say we are one of each other’s biggest fans! It just doesn’t get better than that. That, above all, is why we do what we do.

“I can’t share how incredibly grateful I am to have had Tanya a part of my wedding day journey! I purchased my wedding day dress, my ‘Friday Welcome Party Event’ dress and her wedding day styling services package.

 

From the beginning Tanya went out of her way to help figure out where to even get started in purchasing the right gown for me. She helped me land and ultimately custom create an Anne Barge dress that I felt worked best for me. In addition to helping me coordinate on the weekend of the “trunk show” to get the best deal for my money she coordinated on my behalf with her seamstress to get every little detail perfect once we had found “the one”.  We were also able to find the cutest short dress for a “day at the races” at the Keeneland horse race task for our welcome party.

 

She dealt with my late next texts with ‘Well, what do you think about this?’   Random inquiries around the mother-of-the-bride dresses.

 

I couldn’t have been more appreciative to have had Tanya by my side on the wedding day. She’s the hands that your bridesmaids didn’t know they needed to be.

 

From being the saving grace for my poor feet when she came in clutch with her heaven sent band aid supply. Or saving the day by giving me a ride from the getting ready bridal suite in her car all dolled up. From asking me about my family dynamics pre-wedding, if there was anything she needed to be aware of so she can be my cool, calm, collected influence, to making sure that the folks who I told her might drive me nuts didn’t have the opportunity to. To the very meticulously placed vail, bouquets and train in our bridal photos. She was also the master at my dresses fancy bustle that no one else had to bother learning because she had it under control.

 

I’ll add I was on the fence about even purchasing the wedding day services initially because it was really something I had never heard of and didn’t think it would be necessary. But it literally was the BEST investment, it just made my wedding day that much less stressful. And to me that’s priceless.
