“I could not recommend Gilded Social enough! I bought my wedding gown from their Granville location. It was an absolute dream experience. It is so personalized unlike the chop-shop wedding dress stores you might be used to. I was able to have my mother, mother in law, sister, and grandmother in law there as I tried on the dresses. As a plus size bride, boutique wedding dress shops can be a little daunting as they typically only stock or carry gowns that fit a very small frame. This was NOT my experience with Gilded in the least. Tanya is very body positive and makes you feel so comfortable. I was also pregnant (although my family had no idea at the time) when I was trying on dresses and Tanya was the only one who knew that day. She kept my secret and helped me find a gown that would fit my 28 week pregnant frame at the time of my wedding. I thought finding my dress would be easy, like how they show brides finding their dresses on TV where I would know what I wanted as soon as I saw it. I had an idea in mind and Tanya found exactly what I had wanted, almost exactly like the photo I showed her. However, I tried it on and something felt off. I loved the gown but I didn’t end up loving it like I thought I would on my body. I was so disappointed because what I thought I wanted was not what I ended up loving on myself. She then brought out a dress that I wouldn’t have given much thought about as it wasn’t exactly like what I wanted. She encouraged me to just try it on anyways as it incorporated elements of what I had imagined along with elements that she felt fit my personality (how incredible that she could do that without having known me longer than our appointment). It was at that moment I knew it was the dress for me. I felt like myself but elevated. I would have never looked at that dress on the rack and thought to try it on. I’m so glad I did because it was the most beautiful, classic-yet-modern dress I’d ever seen. It also had to be shipped from Spain (how special!!) but the price truly did not reflect that. I am so grateful for my experience with Tanya. I had gone to 4 different bridal shops, the huge and “most popular” ones in the Columbus area and none of them could hold a candle to the experience with Gilded Social. They will make you feel like royalty as these dresses aren’t just mass produced. Each is unique and the experience reflects their inventory. Trust me when I say, I’m proud to be a Gilded bride!!”
