The Story

Lauren is one of my brides who I am lucky enough to see even more after she got married than when she was getting married.

 

It all started when Lauren visited my shop looking for a particular sexy bridal look, but still wanted to stay within her set budget. She had one dress in mind in particular, but the timing on the sample just wasn’t lining up with her appointment or wedding timeline.

 

She booked an appointment anyway because I had a dress in mind, a better one, that I knew was going to be PER.FECTION. It was a bit over her budget, but we talked about it ahead of time and dang - when she put it on - that was IT. First dress magic struck this gal HARD.

 

Immediately we became each other’s biggest fans. She snagged my favorite little white dress during one of our sample sales but it was when she came to my second Gilded Bride Party that made her the Ultimate Gilded Bride for life.

 

She was front and center when we revealed our new tagline - the most personal bridal experience in Ohio. Guaranteed. And couldn’t resist booking our signature Wedding Day Dressing & Styling service after hearing so many of the stories from brides in the room.

 

So sure enough, I had the honor to be with Lauren every critical fashion moment of her wedding day, too. I steamed all the dresses, set up her own first look with her dress on a mannequin (she had the best reaction of ANY bride, by the way), got her dressed, made sure her hem and veil were perfect, and just genuinely made her feel like the queen she is until it was time to bustle, change shoes, and get her onto the dance floor. She also let me test out some of my wedding day content creation skills, too - and wouldn’t you know it - a reel we posted after her wedding got over 107,000 views!!!  WHAT?!!  It was a sign.

 

That was the day I got to meet her amazing husband, Donovan, and his family, too. What a treat it was to be part of this family’s celebration.

 

Since then, we have realized all kinds of overlapping interests and connections. The White family love of J.Hilburn - Donovan is one of my newest clients - the Sarasota/Anna Maria Island Florida area, Flannagans in Blacklick, food, drinks, heck - even politics! To say Lauren is one of the best things that has even happened to my Gilded Social career would be an understatement. Meeting friends for life just because you knew exactly which dress would make a bride feel her best on her wedding day is one of God’s greatest gifts.

I happened to find Gilded Social through an Instagram search for "Columbus Bridal Shops" and scheduled my appointment with the hopes of just having one boutique bridal shopping experience--something to check off the bucket list and say that I'd done it. When I arrived at the shop in Granville, I was completely blown away by the care that went into selecting the dresses I would try on and curating a comfortable and exciting bridal shopping experience. During my appointment, Tanya was knowledgeable, cognizant of my budget, and, most importantly, dedicated to getting me into the perfect dress. Her honesty was refreshing and her input was helpful and welcome. The dress that I purchased from Tanya was truly perfect for me and for my wedding. It is the most confident I've ever felt in a dress, ever.

The next best decision I made was taking advantage of Tanya's Wedding Day Dressing and Detailing Services. I elected to store my dress with Tanya (I never had to bring it home or worry about my fiancé opening the wrong closet). On the day of my wedding, Tanya transported, steamed and prepared my dress. I did not have to worry about anything. She also steamed and prepped all of my bridesmaid's dresses, leaving us to enjoy our time getting ready and making traveling with their dresses so much more manageable for my bridesmaids. She was behind the scenes in every photo making sure that my dress and veil looked just right, freeing up my Maid of Honor to fully enjoy the moment with me and making all of our photo sessions run smoother and more efficiently. She was prepared for any snag, tear, or hiccup and was so much fun to have behind the scenes!

Most importantly, Tanya has become a wonderful friend of mine. She is dedicated to building a community within her brides and I look forward to each time I get to see her.
