The Story

On occasion, a gal becomes an Ultimate Gilded Bride even when she finds her dress at another shop. Katie was one of those brides. She had shopped for her gown before word was really out that we were styling the bridal look - though we’re quite certain that she would have visited our YES! corner if she were shopping today. 

 

BUT...since she had shopped with us years before as a bridesmaid, she had stayed in touch and knew she wanted to take advantage of many of the services we offer to help make wedding prep stress-free. We couldn’t have been more honored, she asked! Any chance we have to be part of a bride’s team works for us. 

 

Katie lives in New York but was getting married in Columbus, so there were a few accommodations we made to cater to her specific “planning from afar” needs. Have a request to personalize your bridal experience and make it the best EVER? Never hesitate to ask!

“I used Gilded Social for my bridesmaids dresses and my wedding gown alterations, steaming and preservation. I can’t recommend Gilded Social enough! Tanya is so easy to work with and helped me decide on exactly what services fit my needs. She was super patient with me when I asked lots of questions of exactly what was included in each of the services. 

 

Mary Ellen did such a wonderful job with my wedding dress alterations and was conveniently located close by in Gahanna. My dress fit PERFECTLY. It hit the ground in the exact right spot and Mary Ellen adjusted it to be snug enough that I wouldn’t worry about my strapless dress falling down but I could still breathe. I live out of town so Tanya and Mary Ellen were super accommodating to make sure I was able to get in for my alteration appointments whenever I would be in town.  After my last alteration appointment Gilded Social even held onto my dress so I didn’t have to worry about traveling with it and storing it.

 

 The day of my wedding Tanya arrived with my dress and steamed it to perfection. She even staged it beautifully so it was all ready for photos. Lastly, Gilded Social preserved my dress. They came and picked it up from my parent's house the day after the wedding. It was super convenient. I could head out on my honeymoon and didn't have to worry about dropping it off anywhere or having any worry about how it would be taken care of. Once it was done she even delivered the preserved dress back to my moms house. She made it so simple, we didn't have to do a thing! Gilded Social fully relieved me of all of the stress of my dress fitting properly, looking perfect for my wedding and staying preserved!

 

One thing I love about Tanya is she truly values all her clients and treats everyone like they’re her top priority. You really feel like a VIP when you’re working with her and she handles your big day with just as much importance as you do. My only regret was that I had already purchased my wedding gown before Gilded Social was offering them and I didn’t get to have my time in the “YES Corner”!”
